Kayla Kronfeld, CPM, LM
Kayla joined the TCM team in August of 2022. Her professional experience includes attending births as a doula in various birth settings, training as a student-midwife in both a home birth practice and a birth center, and receiving her formal midwifery education at the Midwives College of Utah. In addition to being a Certified Professional Midwife at TCM, she is also a Birth Assistant at a busy birth center and leads the Childbirth Education series with the Queer Birth Project.
Her experience in birth work began in 2018. She has had the privilege of supporting many families on their journeys of conception, pregnancy, labor/birth, and during the postpartum period. Kayla is passionate about providing informed, safe, and consensual care and is active in staying up-to-date on the newest evidence-based practices. Kayla was previously a middle school educator and finds great joy in discussing with clients all of their options every step of the way, especially in relation to cultural and lifestyle practices.
When not at the practice or at a birth, you can find Kayla canoeing around one of the many lakes or rivers in the Twin Cities area with her wife and their fur babies. She also enjoys reading anything by Grady Hendrix or Samantha Irby, and thrives on pastries from the various bakeries in the metro. She is honored to support TCM families!
