Caitlin Young, CNM, APRN
Caitlin Young joined the TCM team in March 2026 and is bringing with her 15+ years of experience providing reproductive/sexual healthcare in and around the Twin Cities. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from St. Olaf College in 2005 and her Masters in Nurse-Midwifery in 2011 from Frontier Nursing University.
Prior to full-scope nurse-midwifery work, Caitlin was a labor and delivery/postpartum/newborn nurse to both hospital and birth center families. In her early years as a young midwife, Caitlin provided full-scope care in homes and at two local birth centers, as well as with a hospital-based midwifery team.
Following the birth of her second child, she decided to switch to a more consistent schedule providing sexual/reproductive health services at Planned Parenthood for nearly 8 years. There, she discovered joy and passion in providing non-judgemental full-scope reproductive health services for all. During her years with Planned Parenthood, Caitlin provided in person and virtual (in 11 states!) health services, discovering how appreciative patients were to have access when and how they needed it. Caitlin became a sought after provider for her proficiency in contraceptive counseling, placement/removals, reproductive/sexual health concerns, and trauma-informed care for all. She learned that the community around her is in great need of supportive guidance starting in puberty, normalizing what is to be expected and navigating the unexpected.
After coordinating care and assisting within a local Family Residency Medicine program the last 3 years, Caitlin is excited to be returning to patient-care, bringing with her years of experience, compassion, and understanding to the community around her.
In addition to her time with TCM, once a month, Caitlin provides virtual IUD insertion and removal training to clinicians at Title X funded clinics.
When she’s not on her soapbox for sexual/reproductive health rights, you can find Caitlin juggling her time between household responsibilities of 6 humans and 3 fur children (including 3 teenage girls), at Circus Juventas, or cycling with her ride-or-die spouse in the Driftless Region, on local country roads, or traveling to accomplish the alike.
Caitlin is accepting new patients for the following: Contraceptive Counseling (options, initiation, management), IUD/Implant Insertion/Removals, Annual GYN Exams, GYN Symptom Management, Sexual/Reproductive Health concerns, Parent & Me puberty Education, and STI Testing. Soon, Caitlin will be offering Menopause, PCOS, and Endometriosis Care.
