19 Mar Looking for a Nursing Bra?
By Lauren, Office Manager
A breastfeeding mom may spend years of her life breastfeeding, which means, among many things, that one of the most important items she’ll need is a good nursing bra! Here are some of the places around the Twin Cities to find nursing bras, and please comment with any that I’m missing.
Bravado is a very popular brand of nursing bras so if you already know your size you can buy directly from them online.
Park Nicollet Health & Care Store on the Park Nicollet-Methodist campus sells Bravado nursing bras. You can get fitted at the store (call 952-993-3121 for more information) and if they don’t carry your size you can buy it online. The store is on the ground floor of the Meadowbrook Building; the address is 3931 Louisiana Ave S, St. Louis Park.
Destination Maternity and its partner stores Motherhood Maternity and a Pea in the Pod offer nursing bras, both online and in-store. Macy’s also carries a Pea in the Pod collection that generally includes a small selection of nursing bras.
Nordstrom has a great selection online, and if you’re unsure about your size you can see an in-store Fit Specialist at one of the Nordstrom locations in the Twin Cities.
Soma has its own line of nursing bras online. It’s a small selection, but I’ve heard from multiple women who love them.
Hotmilk is an online-only retailer that among its nursing and maternity underwear sells nursing bras.
Bellies to Babies is a gently used maternity store (see the Maternity Shopping blog post for more info on it), and it also sells nursing bras. Only new nursing bras with the tags still attached are sold.
Target is another option for nursing bras. It usually has a small in-store selection and a larger selection online.
Allure also sells nursing bras, and if you’re unsure about your fit you can stop in at one of their stores in Edina, St Paul, or Maple Grove to get fitted by one of their staff.
Health Foundations Birthing Center in St. Paul offers a small selection of Bravado nursing bras.
You! Lingerie is another online option.
Finally, Kohl’s and Herberger’s also sell nursing bras.
One final note, if you’re planning on pumping regularly a hands-free pumping bra is a must-have. I’ve heard great things about the Simple Wishes hands-free pumping bra, and keep in mind that it’s one-size fits all.
